www.autofun.co.th—The twin-turbocharged, horizontally opposed six-cylinder engine, which is the driving force behind the eighth generation of the Porsche 911[Porsche 911 ราคา], has evolved to comply with the latest carbon emission standards by using a microparticle filter, a more sophisticated injection system and a new turbocharger and intake air cooler configuration. In addition to the 30hp increase in performance over the previous model, the 911 Carrera 4S delivers an unprecedented 450hp with an average output of 151hp per litre of displacement. The 911 Carrera 4S can reach a safe top speed of 306 km/h thanks to its eight-speed PDK dual-clutch system.
The new exterior design incorporates the classic elements of previous 911 models, with a wider, more streamlined and more technologically advanced body. The wheel arches have been widened to accommodate 20″ wheels at the front and 21″ wheels at the rear, the rear end has been widened by 44 mm, the front end of all models has been widened by 45 mm, and the front luggage compartment lid has been extended forward with a distinctive recess in front of the windscreen, a feature of all 911 generations. These design elements lengthen the front body and give the 911 a sporty appearance, while the 911 also features advanced LED headlamps as a lighting technology and the classic 911 upward sloping round headlamp pattern which is perfectly integrated into the side lines; the recessed electrically raised door handles smooth out the side lines and the rear mirror has been redesigned to reduce wind resistance and can be electrically folded.
The most distinctive features of the model range are the widened spoiler and the elegant continuous light bar at the rear. The new 911 is also distinguished by its chrome metal elements, and its body is made of aluminium, except for the front and rear.
Another highlight of the new 911 model range is the digital dashboard with its crisp, clear lines, inspired by the 911 models of the 1970s, and the bezel-less multifunction display on either side of the analog tachometer in the centre of the dashboard, which provides essential driving information. The centre console screen of the Porsche Communication Management (PCM) system has been enlarged to 10.9 inches and the new configuration makes operation quicker and more intuitive; the driver can switch between the contents of the centre console via the touch screen and five subtle switches below the screen control the vehicle’s important functions. The cabin seat has also been significantly revised, with ergonomic design providing better lateral support for the shoulders and a weight reduction of three kilograms. The new 911 is also digitised with full-time connectivity, new features and services, and a new era of mobile living for the future. The standard Porsche Communication Management (PCM) function includes a traditional Chinese navigation system and supports Apple CarPlay.
The Wet Mode, a Porsche first and standard feature, detects puddles of water, pre-adjusts the system for slippery surfaces and warns the driver, who can then press a button or adjust the mode switch on the steering wheel for safety reasons (with the Sports Chrono Package). The active cruise control system includes automatic distance control, a stop-start function, active crash protection and an innovative automatic emergency assistance function.
About a year and a half after the introduction of the 992 generation, Porsche welcomes the GTS model with its horizontal six-cylinder engine with 480 hp and 58.1 kgm of power, the eight-speed PDK dual-clutch manual transmission, the Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM), the GTS suspension and the high-performance braking system from the 911 Turbo to ensure outstanding performance. The GTS is available with a simple black exterior.
The exterior of the GTS has a distinctive, understated sporty look with its simple black body details and the dark treatment of the headlamp area. Black is also the predominant colour for the interior, with Race-Tex material providing the interior details with an elegant, streamlined racing character. The black unibody aluminium wheels, inherited from the 911 Turbo, are 20″ at the front and 21″ at the rear and feature a central locking design. Thanks to the GTS’s exclusive settings and the reduced use of insulation inside, the standard sports car exhaust system is able to produce an even more exhilarating engine sound.
