This year’s Ateneo College Entrance Test (ACET) pushed through last Oct. 29, 2022 despite the downpour caused by Severe Tropical Storm “Paeng.”
But on the ACET’s second day on Oct. 30, 2022, the officials of the Ateneo de Manila University decided to postpone the exam because of the strong rain and winds that day.
The university announced earlier this week that it will continue the ACET on Nov. 5 and 6, 2022 at the grade school building located on Katipunan Avenue in Quezon City.
Ateneo said this schedule is only for:
-
All Metro Manila examinees scheduled to take the ACET in Xavier School and the Ateneo campus last Oct. 30, 2022.
-
All Metro Manila examinees who missed the ACET on Oct. 29, 2022.
Although there are no traffic advisories or rerouting plans as of press time, there is a possibility of greater road congestion again over the weekend.
Katipunan Avenue is one of the major thoroughfares that leads to C-5, which is one of the main routes for commuters heading to the South Luzon Expressway. It is also used by motorists from the south to go to the North Luzon Expressway through the Mindanao Avenue exit.
Ateneo’s campus safety office said in an Oct. 24, 2022 bulletin that it is expecting around 7,400 examinees for this year’s ACET.
Once again, all the best to the examinees! And for motorists who will be in the area, set your alternate routes.
