The Grand Theft Auto series will have funny characters for a long time to come. Some of the funniest people in the show are these people.

Grand Theft Auto is one of the most popular video game series of all time. After the third game came out, the series’ popularity really took off. GTA 3 was a big step forward for Rockstar, and it set the standard for open-world sandbox games set in cities. Even now, it’s hard for any open-world game to avoid being compared to GTA. This shows how much care and attention was put into each and every one of these games.

The scripts of the Grand Theft Auto games are also really good. They know when to make things very serious and when to add a lot of humor to keep things fresh and interesting. The result is an unforgettable experience that has lasted for decades. And here are some of the funniest characters that players love.

Lamar Davis – Grand Theft Auto 5

Franklin is one of the GTA 5 characters with the most sense. Because of this, it’s even funnier to see that he’s with some of the funniest and dumbest people around. Franklin’s supposed best friend, Lamar Davis, is a great example of the same thing. Even so, in his own way, he still looks out for Franklin.

Yusuf Amir – GTA 4: The Ballad Of Gay Tony

GTA 4 is without a doubt one of the best GTA games ever, and its DLC is also pretty great. Most people think of The Ballad of Gay Tony as one of the best downloads in the history of video games.

This DLC gave players a deeper look at Yusuf Amir, a character who was only mentioned in the main story. He’s the funny son of a rich billionaire, and he hires Luis Lopez to get him some things he can’t buy with money, like a helicopter that’s fully armed with the latest technology.

Ken Rosenberg – Vice City & San Andreas

Vice City is a great game that lets players explore Miami as seen through Rockstar’s eyes. Like most Grand Theft Auto games, this one has a lot of memorable characters, like the shady lawyer Ken Rosenberg.

Even though he is a pretty good character, his addiction to cocaine ends up making things hard between him and Tommy. During the events of San Andreas, he also helps CJ. And the way he acts when he’s high on cocaine is once again very funny.

The Truth – Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas

There are a lot of great characters in San Andreas, but the Truth stands out. The player meets this hippie after getting away from the LSPD’s trap, which leads to several memorable missions.

One of the most memorable parts of the game is setting a weed farm on fire with the Truth. Driving with him to San Fierro is a lot of fun, and CJ slowly comes up with a plan to get back to Los Santos and get rid of Tenpenny for good.

Trevor Philips – GTA 5

Trevor Philips is one of Grand Theft Auto 5’s three main characters. He is also the most crazy of all the characters. And he is the last one to be introduced in the main story.

Many players liked him right away because of his strange behavior. Which also helped them understand why Michael broke up with him. Trevor and Michael’s relationship gets better over time, and by the end of the game, they are friends. But only if the player chose the ending where all three characters live.

Catalina – GTA 3 & San Andreas

Catalina is a great and memorable character who shows up in Grand Theft Auto 3 as the bad guy. Most people, though, remember this character because of the funny things she did in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas.

Watching this crazy girl keep bothering CJ over and over again is pretty funny. Players were both sad and happy to find out that Catalina eventually broke up with CJ and ended up with the main character of the third game, which made for a pretty cool backstory.

Roman Bellic – GTA 4

Even though some people got tired of his bowling antics, Roman Bellic is one of the best characters in Grand Theft Auto 4. No matter what, Niko’s cousin is a funny goofball who gives the series some of its most memorable and funny moments.

Niko decides to move to America because of the things he says about his life that aren’t true. In Grand Theft Auto 4, it’s really hard to see him die in either of the two possible ways. Which makes players want to get revenge.

Lazlow Jones – Multiple Grand Theft Auto Games

Lazlow Jones is a funny radio DJ whose voice can be heard in almost every GTA game. Most people know him from his role in Grand Theft Auto 5, which was a big hit.

This creep tries to get Tracey to like him, which makes Michael angry. Michael then humiliates Lazlow in the worst way he can think of. It’s a fun mission, and Lazlow’s funny personality makes it even better!

Denise Clinton – Grand Theft Auto 5

Franklin’s aunt is without a doubt one of the most annoying and controlling people in his life. Players don’t really care about that, though, because she’s funny enough on her own.

It’s funny to see her constantly yell at Franklin. But it’s the few times she talks to Trevor that make her character stand out. Still, most people were glad when Frankin finally moved out and got a huge house of his own in Vinewood Hills.

Frank Tenpenny – GTA: San Andreas

The cop who hates CJ is one of the most memorable characters in the history of Slope Game, which shows right away how bad he is. Tenpenny does a lot of bad things. But players can’t find it in themselves to hate him because he is so charming and funny.

His voice is done by Samuel L. Jackson, which is a very big deal. His dialogue is just perfect, and it shows how good the scripts are in the GTA games.
